After a 24 hour shift, wrapping up early this morning, the Woodstock Water Department managed to fix two major watermain disruptions caused by freezing temperatures.
WOODSTOCK - Crews worked through the night to repair a couple of watermains in the City of Woodstock.
Freezing temperatures caused the disruptions and crews spent 24 hours repairing them yesterday, finally wrapping things up around 1:30 am this morning.
The two large water main breaks were at the intersection of Ingersoll Ave. and Vansittart Ave and the other one was on Dundas St. just west of Springbank Ave. Both roads are now fully open to traffic.
Freezing temperatures play havoc with water mains and the Woodstock Water Department is on the case!
