The Friends of the Woodstock Public Library Book Sale will takeover the third floor of the Woodstock Art Gallery this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Friends of the Woodstock Public Library are hosting their semi-annual book sale for the first time since the pandemic
Member Matthew Lloyd says the long break means they have extra stock and are selling at a heavy discount.
"Hardback books are a dollar and paperback books are 50 cents. At this stage we have thousands of books, we are just looking to make as much money as we can by selling as many as we can really. So yeah, a pretty good deal."
Lloyd says this is the first time the event has been held at the Woodstock Art Gallery instead of the library.
"In future years it will be back at the library but this year because of the number of books we needed somewhere bigger to hold it."
The event starts at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday April 22nd on the third floor of the Art Gallery. Lloyd says there is an elevator available.
The Friends of the Woodstock Public Library have recently helped to fund a new colour photo scanner for a project to help the public preserve their photos and memories. Other things the group has helped fund include children's programming, furniture, and computer equipment.
Everyone is advised to bring their own bags, and that only cash is accepted at the sale.
