A grade 11 student from Ingersoll is hosting another fundraiser to help a young boy in his community who is suffering from Christianson Syndrome.
INGERSOLL - Over $500 was raised at a car wash in Ingersoll organized by a grade 11 student who is trying to help a young boy with Christianson Syndrome.
Donald Heald started the car wash to help Lyndon Kloss who is confined to a wheel chair and is developmentally challenged. Christianson's is a rare disorder and the family is dealing with a number of expensive treatments and costs, including treatment in Texas, wheel chair, a feeding machine just to name a few to provide Lyndon with a great life. Donald is back at it again on Friday as he is hosting a Car-B-Que at his school, Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute starting at 11 a.m. The Car-B-Que is a car show combined with a BBQ and Donald will have a donation table along with a meet and greet with Lyndon and his parents.
Funds from the Car-B-Que and the car wash will go towards buying materials to build a ramp at the Kloss home so Lyndon can get in and out of his house easier. The Masonic Lodge has already agreed to build the ramp for free and they are just trying to raise the money for the materials. Also happening this Saturday the family is having a yard sale on 194817 Plank Line in Thamesford with the proceeds going towards the family. All of the items have been donated and they will have a lot of great stuff for sale. The family needs about $3,500 to pay for the ramp at their home.
