BBBS Oxford would like to raise $60,000 for its youth mentorship programs.
OXFORD COUNTY - Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County is thanking everyone who has supported Play for Kids Sake this year.
Fund Development Coordinator Nicole Killaire says it has been a big success so far.
"Through the events, the participation of 29 teams and incredible sponsorship, we were able to raise just over $50,000 to support our youth mentorship programs which is amazing!"
However, the organization would really like to reach the $60,000 mark, so Big Brothers Big Sisters has partnered with some local businesses to get there.
Killaire says this includes the Dominos locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Tillsonburg.
"If you order online or call in and order and mention the code PLAY, they are donating 30 percent of those orders back to Play for Kids Sake."
The promotion started on Tuesday and it ends on Saturday.
Several businesses are also selling special Big Brothers Big Sisters decals to help the cause, you can find the complete list below:
- Foodland (Woodstock and Ingersoll)
- Home Hardware (Woodstock and Ingersoll)
- Beantown Coffee (Woodstock)
- Mel's Fish and Chips (Woodstock)
- Copper Mug (Tillsonburg)
- Kelsey's Roadhouse (Tillsonburg)
You can donate to the Play for Kids Sake Campaign online here.
If you are unable to provide a financial donation, Killaire says there are just over 140 youth looking for a mentor here in Oxford. You can find more information about volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters online here.
