Time is running out if you want to sign up for the Go Organic: Rescue live stream taking place this Tuesday starting at 7:00 p.m.
OXFORD COUNTY - Part two of the Future Oxford Fall Speaker Series is coming up and it's all about food rescue.
The Go Organic: Rescue live stream will be taking place at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 20th. Bryan Smith, the Chair of Zero Waste Oxford, gives us all the details.
"We're going to talk a bit about how you can use pumpkin and squash as food items yourself, how you can divert them maybe to other people, and finally about their use as fodder on farms."
He says also tells us about one of the guest speakers they have lined up for the evening.
"We have Janine Jones talking about Food Forward Oxford, which is an effort to find all of the places where there is excess food inside of Oxford and move that food to food access providers."
Some examples of food access providers would be church meals and community tables.
Those interested in taking part in the online discussion have to sign up online here beforehand.
This Future Oxford Speaker Series event is a continuation of Go Organic: Rot, which was live streamed on August 22nd.
