The union representing 2,200 GO Transit bus drivers, station attendants, and other employees has launched a strike.
ONTARIO - Those who take a GO Transit bus to work will have to find another ride this morning.
Twenty-two hundred bus drivers, station attendants, and other employees represented by Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1587 will hit the picket lines this morning after contract talks broke down over the weekend.
Union President Rob Cormier says they're worried about job security and they have safety concerns related to hiring contract workers from outside companies.
GO Transit stations will remain open and this strike does not affect train service.
