About 25 different organizations will be participating in a Volunteer Fair in Woodstock this weekend.
WOODSTOCK - It's the perfect place to go for those who are looking to lend a helping hand.
A Volunteer Fair will takeover Goff Gym in Woodstock this Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Erica Hughes is one of the organizers and the Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County. She says there will be 24 local organizations on-site during the fair.
"We have an incredible list of different organizations coming. Some to note would be the Parkinson Society of Southwestern Ontario, we have the Woodstock Scouts coming, we have the Tillsonburg Multi-Centre, we have the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners, we have the City of Woodstock and we have Oxford County 4H. So there is a wide variety."
Hughes adds there will be volunteer opportunities for people of all ages.
"We are promoting it as an event where anyone can find their volunteer role. So high school students, college students, regular middle-aged folks like myself, and there will also be opportunities for our senior population."
