A GoFundMe page is looking to raise $5,000 for the family of Duane Kish. He passed away from a sudden ruptured aorta last week.
WOODSTOCK - A family is mourning the loss of a missed bother, father, and spouse from Woodstock.
Duane Kish suffered from a sudden ruptured aorta, taking his life at the young age of 36.
Duane’s sister, Dawn Woodall, says she started a GoFundMe page for her sister-in-law to help support her and her children during this difficult time.
“I know before my brother passed they had already had financial issues, so I knew that this happening would be even more of a burden to his girlfriend and their children. I just want to make sure they have everything that their dad would want them to have.”
She says the family also wants to help spread awareness of the genetic heart disease, and any extra donations on the page will go towards an organization that will help the cause.
