Chilly Charlie saw his shadow at South Gate Centre this morning, predicting another six weeks of winter in Oxford County.
UPDATE: It's official, Woodstock's very own Chilly Charlie did see his shadow this morning. This means we're in for another six weeks of winter in Oxford County.
Both Punxsutawney Phil and Shubenacadie Sam saw their shadows this morning as well. Wiarton Willie did not see his shadow, so he's predicting an early spring.

WOODSTOCK - Chilly Charlie is making his annual appearance as we mark another Groundhog Day in the Friendly City.
This is the first in-person Groundhog Day for the South Gate Centre since 2019. Residents in Oxford County are invited to stop by the seniors centre to help Charlie make his big prediction.
Events begin at 7:30 a.m. A delicious pancake and sausage breakfast will be served for only $5 before Charlie makes his way out of his burrow at 8:20 a.m.
Marketing Manager Sarah Sheehan explained the rules of Groundhog Day in a recent interview with Heart FM.
"If Chilly sees his shadow that means the sun is shining, and he’s afraid of his shadow so he scurries back in and we get six more weeks of winter"
Chilly Charlie made his first Woodstock prediction in 2002, and the furry mascot has become a city tradition for the last 21 years.
