Habitat for Humanity is taking no time to rest - they are already looking into another build in Oxford County.
Habitat for Humanity Heartland is committed to building more homes in Oxford County.
They completed house number 5 in Oxford County for the Sweeney family on Tuesday and announced they want to do more builds in the County. CEO Jeff Duncan tells Heart FM they are hoping to have more builds in the very near future.
"So this is house number 5 that we have built in Oxford County since 2009 - so 3 in Woodstock and 2 in Ingersoll that we have built over the past 7 years. We've got another piece of land in Ingersoll; we want to build on it in a couple of years and we think the community wants to support another build, because it takes a lot to do it and we want to build again in Woodstock in the next couple of years and we want to go to Tillsonburg as well. We really just want to keep building in Oxford County and if families come forward and happen to be in a real small town, we'll find a way to build for them. Our goal is to at least have 1 build happening every year in Oxford County going forward."
Duncan says right now they are in the process of selecting the next family.
