OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford OPP are doing half load inspections today in Zorra Township.
Already they have charged 5 transport truck drivers.
Half Load season means that transport trucks can only carry no more than 5 tonnes per axle with a few exceptions. Two axle Feed trucks and cattle trucks are allowed 7 and 1/2 tonne per axle. There is complete exemptions for emergency vehicles for emergency vehicle's like hydro trucks, milk trucks and road service trucks.
Half load seasons started on February 15th in Zorra Township and March 1st everywhere else in the County. It runs until April 30th.
