Local MPP Ernie Hardeman is ready to move forward with the new Ontario P.C leader Patrick Brown.
The Ontario Conservatives have elected Patrick Brown as the new leader of the official opposition. Brown was elected by party members over the weekend after defeating Christine Elliott. Local MPP Ernie Hardeman had thrown his support behind Elliott and had asked party members in Oxford to vote for the wife of former federal finance minister the late Jim Flaherty. Hardeman admits he was pulling for Elliott and his ready to move on with Brown.
He adds he wasn't surprised that Brown won the nomination saying he is a hard worker and he will work hard for the people of Ontario. Hardeman says he is confident Brown will do a good job for the Tories and is really looking forward to showing the Province what the Conservatives can do to win the 2018 election.
