Graham Hart will replace Bill McKinnon as the Oxford County Trustee for the Thames Valley District School Board.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Thames Valley District School Board has appointed a former trustee to fill the seat representing Oxford County left vacant by the resignation of Bill McKinnon.
Graham Hart was appointed by the board at their latest meeting on Friday. Hart will serve until the next municipal election on October 24, 2022.
Hart is no stranger to the TVDSB having served as a trustee for over 20 years and was narrowly defeated in the 2018 election. Board Chair Lori-Ann Pizzolato says this was a good choice for the board.
"Graham Hart has demonstrated his deep commitment to public education and will be an asset to the Board."
Hart was first elected to the Oxford County Board of Education in 1993, prior to the creation of the Thames Valley District School Board in 1998.
He previously served as Chair of the Board in 2005 and 2006 and on a number of Board committees, including the Chairs’ Committee, the Negotiations Advisory Committee, and the Ontario Public School Boards’ Association.
