Ontario Health Minister Christine Elliott announced today she will be taking the Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine in front of the camera's to help ease some of the vaccine hesitancy.
ONTARIO - Ontario's Health Minister will be vaccinated in front of the camera's.
Deputy Premier and Health Minister Christine Elliott was asked today if she will be taking the Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine in front of TV cameras. Many people are concerned about the Astra-Zeneca vaccine because it is still not being used in several European countries and the United States.
Elliott says the vaccine is safe.
"It's unfortunate there is still a lot of vaccine hesitancy around Astra-Zeneca, it is safe, it works and it prevents hospitalizations and it saves peoples lives."
Elliott was asked if she will be taking the Oxford Astra-Zeneca vaccine on camera.
"Yes, I actually am planning to receive the Astra-Zeneca vaccine and I will do it front of the camera, if I can convince one other person to receive the Astra-Zeneca vaccine and that helps protect them and their health safety and that of their families, I'm more than happy to do that."
No word on when she will be taking the vaccine.
