If you were to cast your ballot today, who would you be voting for in the Oxford County federal byelection?
OXFORD COUNTY - We're inching closer to byelection day in Oxford County.
Residents will head to the polls on June 19th to select our next Member of Parliament. Dave MacKenzie retired at the end of January this year, after serving as our Conservative MP for almost 20 years.
The advance polls will be open on Friday June 9th, Saturday June 10th, Sunday June 11th, and Monday June 12th. You can also cast your ballot at the returning office on Graham Street in Woodstock (the old Hydro One building) before June 13th at 6:00 p.m.
We have seven candidates in the running; Arpan Khanna for the Conservatives, David Hilderley for the Liberals, Cody Groat for the NDP, Cheryle Baker for the Green Party, Wendy Martin for the PPC, John Markus for the Christian Heritage Party, and John Turmel as an Independent.
