According to Environment Canada, temperatures will be more than 30 degrees with the humidity levels reaching the high 30's and low 40's.
OXFORD COUNTY - Environment Canada says for the next five days the humidity levels are expected to reach 35 degrees.
This weekend and going into next week, a prolonged period of hot weather is expected.
Daytime high temperatures will be over 30 degrees, with the humidity levels getting into the high 30's to low 40's.
They add hot and humid air can also deteriorate the air quality, resulting in the Air Quality Health Index approaching the high risk category.
Environment Canada says extreme heat affects everyone, however risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, people with chronic illnesses and others.
Some of the effects from heat illness include swelling, rash and heat stroke.
