OXFORD COUNTY - The heat will continue today.
Environment Canada has issued an extreme heat warning for the region.
Daytime temperatures are expected to reach the mid thirties with the humidity climbing to 40 degrees or higher. This will affect Woodstock, Tillsonburg and other municipalities across the region.
Little relief is expected tonight, as the temperatures will only drop to the low twenties.
The extreme heat affects everyone but the risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.
Environment Canada says to never leave people or pets inside a parked vehicle.
A cooler and less humid air mass is expected in the wake of a weak cold front tomorrow.
