Canadian musician Jacob Hoggard has been sentenced to five years behind bars.
The former Hedley frontman has been convicted of sexual assault.
He was found guilty of sexually assaulting an Ottawa woman in 2016.
The Crown had requested a sentence of six to seven years.
The victim told the sentencing hearing that the incident will haunt her for the rest of her life.
