OXFORD COUNTY - The holidays are fast approaching and the County of Oxford has some helpful tips to stay on top of waste management.
They say to avoid extensive use of cardboard, wrapping paper while packaging gifts. Residents are also reminded that bows, ribbons and foil based wrapping paper cannot be recycled.
Here are some other helpful tips on how you can stay on top of recycling:
- Make sure to remove any tape, plastic film, twist ties and more before tossing your cardboard in the recycling.
- Breaking down cardboard and flattening boxes is a big space saver. And please refrain from having bundles bigger then 75cm x 75cm.
