Students are being told to bring home their belongings and prepare for the possibility of online learning after the holidays.
Students at several school boards in the region have been told to bring home all their belongings before the Christmas break.
At this point in time, no concrete plans have been announced about a return to online learning. The TVDSB says students are being told to bring home their belongings as a precaution.
Frustrated parents have been through this several times throughout the pandemic. Last year after kids were told to bring home their belongings after Christmas, they were kept home for a couple of months. Students eventually returned to class in February. The Province pushed back March Break and students were once again told to bring home their belongings for the Easter Long Weekend. Students did not return to the classroom until September.
In an email to parents the TVDSB says they will be consulting with local health units on a return to school decision and nothing has been decided at this time. Three schools have already closed early in the TVDSB. Two from London and Caradoc Public School.
