The gas prices in Woodstock are definitely on the lower side of scale when compared to other Ontario cities.
WOODSTOCK - If you think the gas prices are high in Woodstock, you should check out the pumps in other cities.
The average price at the pumps in the Friendly City is about $1.27 a litre.
Senior Petroleum Analyst Dan McTeague says that's definitely on the lower side of the scale.
"With a $1.27 where you are right now, those prices aren't too bad when you consider that the gas stations need about 5 or 6 cents a litre on the pumps."
The average prices in London, Kitchener, Hamilton, Peterbourgh and Ottawa have all passed the $1.30 mark.
McTeague doesn't expect the prices to jump any higher this month.
"I think we've gone as high as we're going to go for now. These higher prices are going to probably tilt demand to the downside both in Canada and the United States where they too have seen increases. I think it's probably as high as it's going to go until we get closer to the May 24th long weekend."
McTeague adds the price of gas is about 16 or 17 cents higher when compared to April 2017.
