Christmas is only three days away, so there are some closures that Woodstock residents should be aware of as we head into the holiday break.
WOODSTOCK - The City of Woodstock would like to remind everyone about some closures to be aware of during the holidays.
City Hall will be closed to the public as of 4:30 p.m. today and it will not reopen until Tuesday January 2nd.
The same goes for the Engineering and Public Works offices, but the phones will be monitored from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday December 28th and Friday December 29th, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday December 30th.
The Cowan Sportsplex and Southside Aquatic Centre will be closed on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day. The same goes for the Reeves Community Complex and Civic Arena, with the exception of New Year's Eve.
The Woodstock Museum and the Woodstock Art Gallery will be closed from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day. The Woodstock Public Library will be closed from Christmas Eve through January 2nd, but it will be open on Thursday December 28th.
The city buses will be off the roads on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year's Day.
Waste collection will also be affected and you can find the breakdown below:
- Regular collection for Friday December 22nd will be picked up on Thursday December 21st.
- Regular collection for Monday December 25th (Christmas Day) will be collected on Wednesday December 27th.
- Regular collection for Tuesday December 26th (Boxing Day) will be collected on Thursday December 28th.
- Regular collection for Monday January 1st (New Year's Day) will be collected on Tuesday January 2nd.
