OXFORD - Lots of youth will be smiling in Oxford County, thanks to the Holiday Smile Cookie campaign at Tim Horton's.
The locations in Woodstock, Ingersoll and Innerkip raised funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County and Tim Horton's Foundation Camps two weeks ago.
The funds were split between the two groups and Big Brothers Big Sisters received a cheque for $40,851 when all was said and done.
Executive Director Kristen Ralph says these funds will greatly benefit their youth mentorship programs in our community.
"Last year we matched almost 700 children and youth in mentoring programs and the need for our services continues to grow faster than our funding. This generous support from our local Tim Hortons owners, their teams, and everyone who bought a Smile Cookie couldn't come at a better time. It helps us keep saying 'yes' to children and youth in Oxford County who are waiting for a mentor."
The Holiday Smile Cookie campaign raised over $13 million across Canada.
