Huron Perth Public Health Booked 3,500 Vaccine Appointments in 18 Hours

Huron Perth Public Health has reached capacity for COVID-19 vaccination bookings for adults 80 and older as well as Indigenous adults 55 and older. The online and phone systems are closed for today and will reopen tomorrow.

HURON-PERTH - Huron Perth Public Health has reached capacity for COVID-19 vaccination bookings for adults 80 and older as well as Indigenous adults 55 and older.

The online and phone appointment booking systems have closed for the time being. They will reopen on Friday, March 5 at 9 a.m. once more clinic dates have been added.

The bookings started on March 3rd and they booked 3,500 appointments in 18 hours. The bookings are only available at this time for eligible groups. Those include eligible healthcare workers and anyone connected to long term care, retirement homes and other congregate settings.

The Health Unit is reminding everyone there will be enough vaccine for everyone, it is just going to take some time to roll it all out. 
Anyone who wants to be vaccinated will have an opportunity to be vaccinated.

Please know that once HPPH announces that you are eligible for the vaccine, you are always eligible; you will not miss your chance to be vaccinated as there will be more opportunities.
