Hydro One is reporting a number of power outages due to the icy conditions and high winds. In Oxford, there are no major power loss areas but a number of small areas are in the dark this morning. In the Innerkip area, about 300 customers continue to be without power and roughly 650 homes in the Princeton area are experiencing power outages. A number of smaller areas have lost power throughout the county. Crews are assessing the damages in most of the areas and an estimated restoration is not available. According to the Hydro One website, areas in Innerkip and Kintore may not have their power back on until noon Saturday. OPP are warning residents and motorists to take care on the roads as they are receiving a number of calls for downed trees and hydro lines. Woodstock Police and Fire were called out to Riddell Street where a large tree fell , landing in the backyards of three homes causing damage to the roof and eaves trough of the homes. One of the houses sustained damages to the front porch. Police say there were no injuries and the homeowners were not displaced. Hydro lines were also knocked down on to Clark Street and Warwick around 3:00 am. Woodstock Hydro attended the scene to make the repairs.
