The IDCI Girls Hockey team has earned their way to WOSSA.
OXFORD COUNTY - After a near flawless season, winning every game, the Girls Hockey team at Ingersoll District Collegiate Institute will be playing at Western Ontario Secondary Athletic Association tournament (WOSSA) today in London.
The team won their Thames Valley District School Board south east division playoff series against Parkside last Tuesday in order to advance.
High school athletes have been taking part in WOSSAA Championships for over sixty years in the spirit of sport. WOSSAA is comprised of fifty schools, eleven schools are in the Huron Perth Conference while the remaining schools are in the TVRAA Conferences: TVDSB Central, TVDSB Southeast and London District Athletics.
The athletes compete to send representatives on to the next level in sport in the region, the OFSAA Championships.
