An improv troupe will be hitting the stage at Park Place Theatre for a good cause.
INGERSOLL - An upcoming improv show is looking to FUNdRAISE the ROOF at Park Place Theatre.
The show will be hosted by the Ingersoll Theatre of the Performing Arts tomorrow evening, with everything getting underway at 6:30 p.m.
Producer Jim Konopetski says the improv troupe performing will be asking the audience for suggestions.
"What we do then is we make up a story based on those suggestions often times there are props or sometimes the audience will write a sentence out and we will incorporate that into our skit too."
The troupe will include the following actors;
- Liane Gregory-Sterritt
- Morgan Houston
- Michael Brightling
- Krystine Blair
- Charlene Van Veen
- Don Van Galen
- Brendon Lyoness
The performers are going to do their best to keep the show family friendly.
Konopetski adds all the money raised will be going back into the Park Place Theatre.
"Our roof is about 25 years old now. It's been repaired a couple of times and it's not worth repairing anymore so we're going to need a new roof either later this year or early next year. That's going to cost us somewhere in between $30,000 and $40,000."
This is the first of many upcoming fundraisers for the cause.
Tickets for the FUNdRAISE the ROOF performance are $20 each. You can contact the ITOPA Theatre Box Office (519-485-3070) to buy them in advance. They are also available online here; but due to website maintenance the link will not work on mobile devices; only computers and laptops. Remaining tickets will be available at the door.
