While she says every community always has work to be done, she is hopeful that the community will come together through its organizations and upcoming events.
NORWICH - Incoming Norwich Ward 2 councillor Lynne DePlancke says she is looking forward to serving again with some familiar faces.
"Jim (Palmer) and I were on council before for eight years before both of us decided to run for mayor, and John Scholton who has I guess decided to retire around the end of December that's kind of disappointing because I was on council with him too for eight years."
DePlancke says Norwich is a growing community heading in the right direction, referencing new homes and incoming businesses.
While she says every community always has work to be done, she is hopeful that the community will come together through its organizations and upcoming events.
"We have good groups good organizations we've got the Chamber of Commerce we've got the Optimists. There's so many good groups that try to put events on and I think the more we pull the community together and have these events that helps to get people to get out and get to know each other."
DePlancke says Council will be addressing the budget in November along with policing concerns and infrastructure. She also thanked those that encouraged her to run again, including those from outside of her ward.
