
Provincial funding is coming to Oxford County with the goal to help renew or rehabilitate critical infrastructure.
OXFORD COUNTY - $8,750,412 is coming to Oxford County.
The funds will help renew and rehabilitate critical infrastructure across the County, and is being delivered through the 2026 Ontario Community Infrastructure Fund. Oxford County will see the most money with $5,597,673, Woodstock receives $781,439, Norwich takes home $489,671, Tillsonburg sees $487,252, Blandford-Blenheim receives $439,568, Ingersoll takes $346,945, South-West Oxford gets $253,567, Zorra brings in $210,108, and lastly, East Zorra-Tavistock gets $144,189.
Oxford MPP, Ernie Hardeman says what great news this is for the County.
"Investing in local infrastructure is essential to building strong, healthy, and vibrant communities. This more than $8.75 million in funding will help municipalities across Oxford maintain and improve critical infrastructure like roads, bridges, and water systems. These are projects that directly impact the quality of life for residents and support economic growth. I’m proud to see this investment going where it’s needed most and will continue advocating for the long-term needs of our communities."
In 2026, the province will give out $400,000,000 in OCIF funding to help 423 small, rural and northern communities, and the minimum grant funding will be raised to $125,000 compared to the previous $100,000.
