The library will be closed from Monday May 6th to Saturday May 11th.
INGERSOLL - The Ingersoll branch of the Oxford County Library is set to be closed to make way for improvements and renovations.
The library will be closed from Monday May 6th to Saturday May 11th, and reopening on Monday May 13th. Ingersoll Community Librarian, Ellen Rabie, says there will still be some options available to get your hands on some books.
"Because we are getting new carpets, we aren't able to open that space during that time, but we have lots of other branches that will be open. We will also have our wonderful mobile library, Ox on the Run, open in the town parking lot."
The mobile library will have limited availability, being open at various times including on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Thursday from from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., and Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
During the renovations, library staff are asking that you hold off on returning books or other items until they reopen, with all due dates being extended to accommodate.
Rabie says the other branches of the Oxford County Library will still be open nearby for anyone to use.
"Our other branches such as Mount Elgin, Embro, and Thamesford will all be open their regular hours during that week. If folks can get out to those for their programming and for any other library needs, those ones will all be open and available."
Full details as well as information on their limited pickup and browsing services can be found on the Oxford County Library Facebook page.
