Weapons and drugs were seized by Elgin County OPP and now an Ingersoll man is facing charges.
ELGIN COUNTY - An Ingersoll man is one of three people facing charges in Elgin County.
A break and enter happened on April 29th, and two search warrants were executed on April 30th in Southwold Township and St. Thomas. Police seized two handguns, one conducted energy device, five pellet guns and two butterfly knives. Police also took large quantities of cocaine (crack, powder), oxycodone, hydromorphone, and clonazepam, with an estimated street value of $21,600. Police also seized a quantity of property including scales, cellular phones, packaging (bags, elastics), $4500.00 Canadian currency.
The 33-year-old from Ingersoll is facing 4 charges including, Failure to Comply with Release Order, Careless Use of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition, Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose, and Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm.
