An Ingersoll mom is trying to take some of the terrifying cost out of Halloween with a free costume swap.
INGERSOLL - A mother from Ingersoll is hoping to make Halloween easier for families this year.
Sarah Allen is trying to organize a Halloween Costume Swap. They will be giving away gently used costumes for free on Sunday October 4th from 2-4 p.m at the Diamond Dance Studio in Ingersoll. Allen tells Heart FM why she wanted to organize this.
"Well I have 4 kids and my kids are 3, 5, 10 and 13, so we have done every costume imaginable, and I know how expensive it is to actually buy costumes for your kids, I know I have spent a small fortune buying Halloween costumes for my kids."
Allen says they are in desperate need of costume donations as right now they only have 20 and would like to have 50-100 to give away.
"Right now we have about 20 costumes and we are aiming for anywhere from 50-100, Diamond Dance Studio has donated their whole studio for us to use, so we have lots of space, we're looking for costumes from newborn right up to teenagers so we can take adult costumes as well."
If you would like to donate by calling Sarah at 519-532-0404 or send her an email at sarah1981@hotmail.ca. She is willing to pick up costumes in Ingersoll or Woodstock or you can drop them off at her place in Ingersoll.
