A drop-in meeting will be held this evening, so Ingersoll residents can learn more about a major reconstruction project that's planned for Raglan Street.
INGERSOLL - A pretty big reconstruction project is on the horizon for Raglan Street in Ingersoll.
Kyle Clark, an Engineering Technologist with the Town of Ingersoll, says it has a joint budget of $1.7 million.
"The Town of Ingersoll and the County of Oxford have approved budgets for sewer, both sanitary and storm, a watermain, and complete road reconstruction with the addition of a sidewalk."
He says work should begin after the May long weekend, and it should last about 16 weeks.
Clark adds there will be a meeting in council chambers tonight for residents who want to learn more.
"It will be a drop-in meeting, very casual. It will give residents on Raglan Street a chance to provide feedback, take a look a the preliminary design, and just gather general information before we put this project out for tender."
Residents will also be able to ask any questions they may have. The meeting will begin at 4:00 p.m. and wrap up at 7:00 p.m.
