The Victoria Park Community Centre pool will be temporarily closed starting August 24th.
INGERSOLL - The Victoria Park Community Centre Pool in Ingersoll is about to get some work done.
It's going to be temporarily closed starting Monday August 26th in order to update the filtration systems and replace the dehumidification unit. The pool is expected to remain closed until the late fall, and more updates will be posted on social media while the work is being done.
In a statement on Facebook, the town says this work is crucial to maintaining a comfortable and safe environment on the pool deck. It also recognizes that this may be an inconvenience for residents, but thanks them for their patience and understanding.
The Victoria Park Community Centre is still set to host a Pooch Plunge fundraiser for the Oxford County Animal Rescue on Sunday August 25th, the day before the pool closure begins. The chlorine levels in the pool will be dropped to make sure it's a dog-friendly swimming experience.
