About 500 kids will descend upon Victoria Park in Ingersoll for the annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday.
INGERSOLL - Victoria Park in Ingersoll will be hosting around 500 children for this year's Easter Egg Hunt.
The Ingersoll Rotary Club has been organizing the event for over 20 years. Past president Bob Lunney says a special guest is expected to hop in on the fun this Saturday.
"We are hoping that the Easter Bunny will be there he generally is, weather dependent, but yes we expect the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance and be there the whole morning for the children."
The event starts at 10:00 a.m. but participants can register anytime after 9:00 a.m. beside the indoor pool on Wellington Street to receive a chocolate bunny.
Lunney says everyone is welcome to join the community event.
"It's just a great event even if people don't have children if they want to come out and enjoy a good activity for the children you're more than welcome to just come out and watch because it's quite the spectacle to watch all these little one's scatter and find the eggs."
The chocolate eggs will be placed in plastic eggs scattered throughout the park. The kids will be split into 3 age groups 3-5, 6-9, and 10-11.
Lunney says the backup location in case of bad weather is the Ingersoll Arena. The Rotary Club will post a notice on its Facebook page if the location has to be changed.
