There are currently five significant industrial properties up for sale in the Ingersoll area. And that includes the old Ingersoll Fasteners building at 290 Thomas Street. The 234,000 square foot building has recently been put up for sale with an asking price of $6.24-million. Ingersoll Director of Economic Development Bill Mates is hopeful the properties will be sold, with the economy showing signs of improving. Mates says, "In the last 6 months we have seen quite a few inquires about commercial properties, I think the economy is picking up and we're very encouraged by what we are seeing." "We don't have any commercial buildings empty in Ingersoll right now."
