During an interview with Dan and Marcie this morning, Khanna revealed the first item on his to-do list now that the byelection is over.
"I think the biggest thing is getting out there, meeting our residents, and earning their trust. I think there are a lot of issues that are happening right now. When I was campaigning door-to-door I heard about affordability, homelessness, drugs, and how we need to get back to the basics. I think there is a long list of things we have to work on, but the number one step for me is to get out there, meet with our community and earn their trust."
He also had this message to share with the people of Oxford.
"I just want to let everyone know that at the end of the day, you are my boss and you are paying for my salary so if I could be of any support at any time, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. I look forward to serving you guys and making sure Oxford's full potential is unleashed."
The exact location of Khanna's future constituency office has yet to be determined.
During the interview this morning, Khanna also discussed the following:
- His thoughts on his campaign and the overall results.
- His victory celebration at the Oxford Auditorium last night.
- His hobbies and his favourite comfort food.
