The weekly council tease took place with Deputy Mayor Liz Wismer-Van Meer on the Heart FM Morning Show.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock City Council gears up for their first meeting of October.
Deputy Mayor, Liz Wismer-Van Meer spoke on the Heart FM Morning Show today to talk about what the agenda looks like for their meeting. She says they will hear about a boundry adjustment in Norwich Township.
"This is going to adjust Pattullo Avenue, so it's going to be realigned so that the intersection at Highway 59 is further away from the 401. According to the MTO, this is something that they're requiring before any further industrial development can happen along the north side of Pattullo Ave."
Wismer-Van Meer adds there will also be a presentation about the growth within the County.
"They're projecting that the county population, again, this is all of Oxford County, could reach about 223,600 by 2061. So, that's a 1.6% average annual growth."
She says that municipalities in the County are facing short falls of community and residential land, which is an issue that is not new. Other topics talked about on the Morning Show included, Cowapolooza, more conversation regarding the green and blue bin collection within the City, and if you want to hear the full interview with Deputy Mayor Wismer-Van Meer, you can below.
