OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County had their first Council meeting for the month of April on Wednesday.

Heart FM reached out to Warden Larry Martin who provided us with details on the following items:
- How they were able to manage the first council meeting electronically.
- A request from the Town of Tillsonburg to suspend bag tags. Bag tags will continue, however a report will be brought back to council and the matter is being looked at.
- COVID-19 Financial relief measures: Oxford County is going to waive the penalties and interest on overdue taxes. They will also not shut off your hydro or your water during these trying times.
- The naming of interim CAO Larry McCabe.
- The importance of social distancing and encouraging residents to "Do Your Part, Stay Apart"
