The first baby of 2019 was born on New Years Day at the Woodstock General Hospital.
WOODSTOCK - Woodstock General Hospital delivered the first baby of the New Year on January 1st at 7:35 a.m.
Abigail Grace Tilstra came into the world at 7 pounds and 6 ounces with her proud parents, Ben and Alex Tilstra. Alex Tilstra actually works at the hospital as Registered Nurse and says it was a neat experience delivering her baby at her workplace.
"It was surreal to be a patient there, having my baby, let alone being the first baby of the New Year and it was a lot of fun being with my co-workers and felt like I was with family, so it was a great experience.
Abigail Grace is the second baby for the Tilstra family, who also have a son who is only 20 months old.
