Theatre Woodstock will be bringing a holiday classic to life on stage as a radio show
WOODSTOCK - A holiday favourite will be hitting the stage in Woodstock.
Theatre Woodstock is putting on It's a Wonderful Life as a radio show. Director Ed Williams says this is an opportunity to see the show like never before.
"We're going to have 18 live actors reading from the scripts, we have singers to do radio jingles, commercials, I will be doing live sound effects using techniques they used in the 1950's and 40's."
Although it is a radio show, Wiliams says it will be a treat for the eyes as well.
"Well we will have everyone in costumes of the period and it will look like it would have if you walked into a local radio station back in 1951."
Performances will be at Market Centre Theatre on November 25th, 26th, and 27th and on December 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
