Jack's Toy Drive

Jack Lalonde sits with the toys he will be taking to Ronald McDonald House in Toronto

Nine year old Woodstock boy collects thousands of dollars in toys for others in need

A Woodstock boy is giving back to an organization which has given so much to his family.

Jack Lalonde and his family are loading up their vehicle with thousands of dollars in toys donated by the community for the Ronald McDonald House, a place his family visits every four to five weeks.

Jack received a liver transplant at just seven months old and now at the age of nine, is once again in need of a liver.

Jack's mother Nicole says the toys will be taken to the Ronald McDonald House in the next few days to be used in their Christmas Program.

"So the parents will be able to come down and chose toys for their kids and wrap them up and have Christmas presents to give their kids because a lot of times they can't go out and buy toys for financial reasons, a lot of them have had to go on disability to take care of their kids or they just can't get away from the hospital to go buy their children toys."

Nicole says the support she has received from the Oxford Community was way more than anything should could have expected.
