Seussical Kids will hit the stage in Innerkip this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
INNERKIP - Innerkip has a Dr. Seuss themed musical performance around the corner!
Seussical Kids will be at the Hope Church on Blandford Street on Thursday April 16th, Friday April 17th, and Saturday April 18th. Two different groups of youth will hit the stage for the performances, with the youngest performers only 7 years old. The Yop cast will be featured on Thursday, the Pop cast will perform on Friday, and Saturday will have a show for each cast.
Artistic Director of K2K Productions, Brian Belleth, describes the plot of the show.
"It's Horton Hears A Who, but the Cat in the Hat who introduces the creative world and invites Jo-Jo to use her imagination and find what's possible. I think it's a special message."
He is very inspired by the difference his production group is making.
"That's really inspiring for leaders like us to think to ourselves, what we are doing is making a difference, and that's really special."
Tickets are $25 and they can be purchased at the Hallmark Shoppe, Adams Building Supply, and The Wild Hog Country Market. You can also find them online here.
The upcoming productions include Freaky Friday, featuring local high school students and The Lion King, which will be the first Stratford performance for K2K.
Belleth says this is the first time some of these students are being introduced to the arts.
"One of the things I've recognized, especially in Stratford, is that this is the first time students are being introduced to the arts, so there's such an excitement we have for them!”
Brian Belleth stopped by the Heart FM studio to chat with Dan and Marcie on Friday, April 10th. You can listen to the full interview below:
