The Oxford County Conservative Party officially announced Arpan Khanna as its candidate on Saturday after a vote took place at College Ave Secondary School.
OXFORD COUNTY - The Oxford County Conservative Party has selected it's candidate for upcoming byelection.
Arpan Khanna will be in the running to become our next Conservative Member of Parliament when residents head to the polls in the next few months.
Khanna is from Brampton and he's now living in Woodstock. He’s also the National Outreach Chair for the federal Conservatives.
The local Conservative vote took place at College Ave Secondary School on Saturday.
Khanna was running against Woodstock City-County Councillor Deb Tait and Rick Roth, the Vice President Strategic Communications for Global Public Affairs. Gerrit Van Dorland had also put his name forward but he was disqualified before the vote took place.
Dave MacKenzie officially retired as our Conservative MP on January 28th after serving the community for almost 20-years. There's no word as to when the byelection will take place at this time.
