The Woodstock Triathlon Club will be hosting the KidsDu Duathlon in Southside Park on Sunday June 11th.
WOODSTOCK - The Friendly City will soon see the return of the annual KidsDu Duathlon run-bike-run challenge.
The event is hosted by the Woodstock Triathlon Club to help promote physical activity to kids from 3-13.
Organizer for the event Terri Jenkin says it's a non-competitive way for kids to have fun together.
“Getting kids outside, being active, and not worrying about if they will win or lose. There’s no pressure, just children challenging themselves if they can actually do it.”
Registration varies based on age and team members:
Aged 3-5 (Individual): $22.00
Aged 3-5 (Family 3+): $20.00
Aged 6-13 (Individual): $32.00
Aged 6-13 (Family 3+): $28.00
Jenkin adds that the event will feature multiple obstacle courses following regulation guidelines.
“The races are sanctioned by Triathlon Ontario to ensure that we’re a safe event, and the kids go off based on their ages.”
The event is taking place on Sunday June 11th at Southside Park Woodstock. To register for the event, visit the Woodstock Triathlon Club website.
