A Norwich Township man facing manslaughter charges made a brief court appearance in Woodstock on Tuesday.
NORWICH - A Norwich Township man facing manslaughter charges has had his case moved to the Superior Court in Woodstock.
William James Knapp Jr is facing three charges including criminal negligence causing death, mislead a police officer and manslaughter. He made a brief court appearance in Woodstock on Tuesday. He is next scheduled to appear in assignment court on September 22nd at 11 am.
Knapp was arrested after the death of 32 year old Carolyn de Wit. De Wit died on January 25th of last year after her body was discovered inside a Norwich restaurant. She died from an overdose to Fentanyl. Fentanyl is a prescription drug that is often sold illegally on the streets and is considered 100 times more potent than morphine.
