STRATFORD - Stratford Police are warning the public to lock the doors to their vehicles after three more vehicle break ins.
Over the past couple of weeks, over 20 cars have been broken into in the Festival City. In most of the cases they were crimes of opportunity as the vehicles were left unlocked.
This past weekend the thefts happened on Maple Ave, O'Loane and Thomas Street. Items stolen include money, personal identification, electronics, and a $1,500 lap top.
The Stratford Police Service is reminding everyone to ensure they lock their motor vehicles when unattended and to keep valuable out of sight. By taking these simple steps you are taking the opportunity away from the thieves.
