The online survey about whether Woodstock City Council should reinstate the benches in Museum Square will close tomorrow.
WOODSTOCK - Time is running out if you want to provide your input regarding the bench discussions in downtown Woodstock.
The online survey on the city's website is going to close tomorrow and staff will be putting a report together to bring to City Council on February 16th.
Mayor Jerry Acchione says it's important that local residents have their voices heard.
“My fellow members of council and I have had discussions with a lot of people since this issue was raised in November. It’s clear there are a lot of strong opinions on this topic and we felt it was best to undertake a formal consultation process that gave people a chance to be heard.”
Council is thinking about reinstalling the benches in Museum Square. The previous Council decided to remove them back in late 2021 due to concerns about vandalism and drug use.
You can find the survey online here.
