The donations will be dropped off at the Children's Health Foundation in London tomorrow.
WOODSTOCK - This is a last call for those who want to donate to the Hunter Weston Memorial Toy Drive.
Today is the last day to donate because all of the donations will be delivered tomorrow. Tarnya Petch says they will be going to the Children's Health Foundation in London.
"We are looking for any new unwrapped toys. We do collect newborn to age 18 because that is what the children's hospital does service. It's harder to buy for kids that are older, so we suggest gift cards or monetary donations. The gift cards and monetary donations are donated to the Children's Health Foundation so they can fill those lists for the kids that are older and the gift cards are put into stockings. They make sure that Christmas morning is as normal as possible while they're in the hospital."
Tarnya's son Nolan Petch started the toy drive in 2020, months after his cousin Hunter Weston passed away at the age of 4. He had a courageous battle with Neuroblastoma and the toy drive has donated over $150,000 worth of toys and cash in his memory since then.
Donations for the toy drive can be dropped off Revel Realty on Huron Street and Jennifer Gale Group on Dundas Street. You can also contact Tarnya by sending an e-mail to petchfamily222@gmail.com.
