We can expect more work to get underway on the Trans Canada Trail.
TILLSONBURG - Oxford County Public Works is looking to finish some of the work on the Trans Canada Trail, using funds left over from last year.
County Council approved the transfer of $330,000 at their latest meeting.
Manager of Transportation and Waste Services Frank Gross says they will pick up from where they left off.
"There a section at the Otter Creek Bridge, we want to complete the modifications to add a pedestrian crossing on that bridge and some minor rehabilitation work."
Gross says they're also looking to add a new addition.
"We're proposing to extend the trail in Tillsonburg to extend out through Tillsonburg to Quarter Town Line."
Oxford County Council approved the extension at their meeting Wednesday night, but Tillsonburg Town Council still has to give their blessing before work can get underway this spring.
Town Council will discuss the matter on Monday April 9th.
